Arguably the most commercially successful, prolific and beautiful indie bands in India right. Formed in 2007, Shaa’ir & Func have won a slew of awards.
Shaa’ir aka Monica Dogra from New York and Func aka Randolph Correia from Mumbai collide both culturally and musicaly. It incorporates a heavy dose of experimentation within the popular and cutting edge genres of dance/electronic/and rock music, while retaining a world pop accessibility.
As part of Shiva Soundsystem’s extended family they bring that to the fold in the track “Finger Puppets”, with the favour being returned for their next album.
